President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Banjul on Friday as part of a one day visit to both The Gambia and Senegal.

The visit is aimed at expressing gratitude to President Barrow for his participation in Ghana’s presidential inauguration ceremony held on January 7.

In addition to the diplomatic gesture, President Mahama’s visit underscores his commitment to strengthening the longstanding relations between Ghana and the Gambia.

Following his short visit to Banjul, President Mahama proceeded to Senegal before returning home to Ghana late Friday night.
