
Modou Lamin Sanyang, the sports journalist and anchor of Star television and radio, has died in a tragic road accident. He is remembered as a committed sports journalist with a respectable character.
Star TV/ FM announced: “It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved colleague, Modou Lamin Sanyang, who tragically lost his life in a fatal car accident this morning while on his way to work.”
The news house described his death as “a devastating loss that has left a profound void in our hearts.”
“Modou Lamin Sanyang was not only a gifted and dedicated professional but also a compassionate and inspiring individual who left an indelible mark on everyone he encountered. His remarkable contributions and positive spirit will remain a legacy that we cherish and honour,” the statement added.
Also, Gambian Sports Journalists Association mourned the deceased as a “young and vibrant sports journalist from Star FM.”
“He was a beloved member of his community and his enthusiasm for sports journalism will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to his family and friends as they navigate through this difficult time. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
