Gambia-Banjul the history of Pre-colonial, colonial and neo-colonial land grabbing and seizures.

Ports authority phase 2 extension is the latest move in a strategic plan to sell Banjul to foreign land investor occupiers. Gambian history is characterized by land occupation for the past centuries.

The present parasitic, treacherous and traitor political and bureaucratic elites follow in the same footsteps as the genocidal ancestors and British occupiers of past centuries.

What lessons do our people have to learn from past and the present unfolding experiences in Half Die, Banjul South and other parts of the Gambia?

Is there not an urgency for a participatory community impact evaluation dialogue of the unfolding process? Are the daughters and sons of Banjul resigned to continue being historic victims of brutal injustice?

What kind of moral conscience do members of our community who always sided with community enemies have? What legacy is the present generation of elders leaving after for future generations?

What is to be done by concerned community members? Time is running out.

Remember the Wolof saying about the plight of those who betray the future of their children and grand children
