Gambian business tycoon Abubacarr Jawara has withdrawn an 8 million dalasis defamation case against Momodou Sabally at the high court following the latter’s apology letter.

Jawara, who owns Gach company, had sued Momodou Sabally accusing him of   defamation and slander. 

However, Sabally on Wednesday issued an apology to Mr Jawara saying the alleged defamatory words were not intended to hurt the businessman.

Reactong to Sabally’s apology letter, Abubacarr Jawara said he wholeheartedly accepted the latter’s apology and that he has directed his lawyer to withdraw the defamation case. 

“I was really upset with my brother when it happened, but I forgive him now. I appreciate his apology, and I forgive him sincerely from the bottom of my heart,”Jawara said.
