Amadou L.S. Jaiteh has officially declared his intention to contest in the 2026 Gambia Football Federation GFF presidential election.

Amadou who currently serves as the Secretary General of BST Galaxy FC, one of the leading clubs in Gambian football and is positioning himself as a candidate committed to reform, infrastructure development and capacity building within the game.

Amadou Jaiteh’s declaration adds another name to the growing list of aspirants seeking to succeed Lamin Kaba Bajo, whose tenure is expected to end after more than a decade at the helm of the Federation.

With the race gradually taking shape, Jaiteh’s entry introduces another voice into what is already shaping up to be a closely watched contest for the leadership of Gambian football.
