A flight with 20 Gambian deportees from Germany arrived in Banjul last night.
The deportees were on a chartered flight operated by Corendon Airlines.
Yahya Sonko, Public Relations Officer of Gambia Refugees’ Association in Germany, said the deportees prior to their departure called to inform him that they were being put on a flight to Banjul.
Earlier this week, a flight with 25 Gambians from Germany arrived in Banjul.
President Barrow’s government has come under fierce criticism for allegedly signing deportation agreements with some European countries including Germany to repatriate undocumented Gambians in the middle of a pandemic.
