The Gambia Armed Forces has announced a live firing exercise involving troops from the 4th Infantry Battalion at the Tintinba Range in Foni.

The two-day training exercise will take place from Friday, 30 May to Saturday, 31 May 2025.

According to the army, the exercise aims to enhance the shooting proficiency of its personnel.

“The general public, especially residents of Tintinba, Burok, Kanfenda, Kanilai, Sanghajor, and Bwiam, are advised not to panic but to avoid the designated area on the specified dates,” the statement read.
