Aston Villa are in the final stages of a deal to sign Senegalese striker Nico Jackson from Chelsea, according to football transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano.

The deal is reportedly worth around £65 million, including add-ons, with Jackson having already agreed to join Villa.

Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023 and has since had a mixed spell at Stamford Bridge.

He also spent time on loan at Bayern Munich, where he gained experience playing in Germany before returning to Chelsea.

Villa have made Jackson a top attacking target as they prepare for the expected departure of Ollie Watkins to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.

The transfer is now close to completion, with the final details between the clubs being worked out.
