Baba Jah has branded opposition leader Ousainou Darboe as the country’s “most ungrateful and divisive leader” at a rally in Banjul yesterday.

The US-based Gambian social media star told a rally in Banjul, as part of President Barrow’s Meet-the-People tour, that Darboe and his UDP party are Gambia’s problem.

“I have been a UDP supporter since 1996. We breastfed Ousainou Darboe. He was poor like a church mouse. He never inherited wealth from his parents. He should be grateful to President Barrow.

“If it were not President Barrow, he wouldn’t enjoy the freedom and liberties that he is enjoying today. President Barrow freed him from jail. Darboe is Gambia’s most ungrateful and divisive leader. If Jammeh had not jailed him, there wouldn’t be any political change,” he said.

Baba Jah, who au also known as Ebou Bah, called on the NPP supporters not to be afraid of Darboe and his UDP party.

His attack on the opposition leader has sparked a backlash from UDP supporters who took to social media to protest Baba Jah’s “disrespectful” attack on their leader.
