Gambian midfielder Baboucarr Jatta made his first senior start for Albanian top-tier side Partizani on Saturday, helping them secure a 2-1 victory over Dinamo City.

Jatta, a former Brikama United player, has impressed in recent months with consistent performances for Partizani’s B team, earning a promotion to the senior squad.

Head coach Skënder Gega, who took charge just over a month ago, praised the 20-year-old’s debut performance.

“Jatta is part of the club’s long-term project. I’ve only been here five weeks, but I always intended to give him a chance,” Gega said. “He did very well today—we’ll keep watching him closely.”

Jatta’s senior debut marks a significant step in his career as he continues to establish himself in European football.
