Yankuba Darboe’s seditious hearing today resumed at the Banjul Magistrates’ Court under heavy security presence.

The chairman of Brikama Area Council is accused to have made seditious statement against President Adama Barrow and the judiciary in 2021 while at the Police Serious Crime Unit in Banjul.

However, his supporters described the charge as “politically motivated”.

Police have mounted a barricade around the courthouse as dozens of people mostly dressed in white attire inscribing the BAC SENEYA PROJECT marched toward the magistrate court in solidarity with chairman Darboe.
