A bad-tempered commercial driver in Serekunda is said to have walked away scot-free after allegedly killing a teenage boy last week. 

The driver who was believed to have been over-speeding knocked down the teen around BS School in Serekunda.  

An eyewitness told Gambiana that the driver is a bad-tempered man who is always involved in tense exchanges with colleague drivers at their car park.

“Here is the place where he knocked the boy. He was over speeding and when he saw the boy, he tried to wheel off and dive the boy, but where he dived is where the boy also ran to and ran over the boy and killed him and hit that pole over there,” the eyewitness who preferred anonymity told Gambiana.

“However, the boy’s family has forgiven him after the burial but they said the matter is with the police. 

“But I saw him walking during the late evening. We understand one of his brothers is a senior military officer,” they added.

The police have been contacted for comment.
