A woman who allegedly killed her boyfriend at the Independence Stadium Friendship Hotel in Bakau is expected to appear in court, as police ramp up investigations.
Kumba Sinyan, owner of Tut Linquere, was alleged to have stabbed to death Momodou Lamarana Jallow following a row.
Jallow, a staff of Gambia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was killed a day before he was due to travel to Indonesia to undertake postgraduate studies.
According to reports, Kumba confessed to killing her boyfriend with a razor blade out of jealous rage while they were together in a room at the Friendship Hotel.
Police were called to the hotel following the killing and the body of Jallow was taken for post-mortem examination.
A disturbing photo of him was leaked on social media which showed the extent of Jallow’s fatal injuries.
Police spokeswoman Cadet ASP Binta Njie told Gambiana exclusively “we are doing our investigations but like I said [previously] we are trying our best to make sure she appears in court soon.”
