President Adama Barrow

President Adama Barrow has launched a fresh attack on opposition leader Ousainou Darboe – as he continues to tour industrial firms around the country.

While speaking at a political rally in Baddiobu Illiasa, Barrow alleged Darboe criticised his government over the breakdown of ferries.

“I want to tell my father that he is old now, that’s why he is losing network. He said that the Gambia failed when the ferry broke down. But I want to tell him that the ferry has started operation.

“Before it used to spend one-hour plying between Banjul and Barra, but now it spends only 16 minutes plying … .and we are doing maintenance on another ferry. His remarks shocked me, but I want to tell him that we are expecting two other ferries to make the number of plying ferries four,” he said.
