President Adama Barrow has eulogised South Africa’s last apartheid hero Archbishop Desmond Tutu who died on Sunday at the age of 90.

“I extend my heartfelt condolences to H.E President Cyril Ramphosa and the people of South Africa on the demise of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. 

“He will be remembered for his contribution to end apartheid in South Africa and for his advocacy for peace and justice around the world. 

“May his soul rest in eternal peace,” President Adama Barrow said in a statement sent to South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Thousands of people around the world have been paying tribute to Archbishop Desmond Tutu who fought alongside Nelson Mandela to end the brutal white supremacy rule dubbed apartheid in South Africa 27 years ago.
