President Adama Barrow has said his government’s development agenda will continue to be “people driven-centred and inclusive”.

Barrow was speaking shortly after he was officially sworn-in as president of The Gambia for the next five years.

“My government priorities for the next five years, infrastructure, energy and technology have to be at the core of our development’s efforts. Our development orientation will continue to be people driven-centred, inclusive and wisely targeted for progress of growth and stability,” he said.

“I will be a president for all Gambians and will be tolerant to diverse views to enhance peace.

“My next five years will be characterised by sustainable development in infrastructure, agriculture, technology, education and more,” he added.

The ceremony at the Independence Stadium was attended by eight West African presidents and thousands of Gambians from all walks of life.
