Gambia Action Party leader has advised President Adama Barrow against wasting resources by putting up a candidate against mayor Ahmed Talib Bensouda in the upcoming local government elections.

Ousainou Musa Yali Batchilly’s advice comes after endorsing Ahmed Talib Bensouda re-election.

“NPP your leader Adama Barrow is my big brother but don’t waste your resource in this mayoral election, but just donate that money to KMC for development because this man will win because I have seen what he has done.

“So, Gambians if any other political parties come to you and give you money eat it and do not vote [for] them. They are not up to no good,” he said.

“I heard that NPP is putting up a candidate for Kanifing mayoral election and I heard Bakary Badjie is one of them. But Bakary what have you done since you came to this government, no development. I am not here to attack you, but what have you done? Do not disturb yourself,” he added.
