Berewuleng Women’s FC have secured a bronze medal at the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU A Qualifiers in Banjul after an impressive campaign on home soil.

The Gambian champions finished third in the competition after narrowly missing out on a place in the final following a 3–2 semifinal defeat to defending champions USFAS of Mali.

Berewuleng’s third place finish came ahead of fellow semifinalists AS Bolonta of Guinea, who suffered a 1–0 defeat in their decisive match, while the Gambian side had pushed the defending champions all the way in a thrilling 3–2 encounter.

The result represents another significant milestone for Berewuleng, who have established themselves as one of the leading forces in women’s football in The Gambia after winning the GFF Women’s First Division title back to back.

Meanwhile, defending champions USFAS successfully retained their WAFU A crown after defeating Senegalese side Aigles de la Médina 1–0 in the final.

Berewuleng’s bronze medal adds another chapter to their remarkable rise and further underlines their growing presence on the West African women’s football stage.
