The 3 Years Jotna protest have turned violent as protesters and police clash at Sting Corner.

Protesters are burning tires on the main Banjul – Brikama highway as the violence flared up.

Riot police are using tear gas to disperse the protesters. According to report the protesters were attempting to breach the security cordon stopping them from marching to State House in Banjul.

The group is demanding for President Adama Barrow to step down and honour his election promise of serving three years. The group has said it will march to State House to force him out if the president fails to heed their January 20 ultimatum of stepping down.
