The privately owned telecommunication company, Comium, has been issued two weeks ultimatum to settle its 69.1 million dalasis debt to government.

Speaking at a news conference, Matarr Touray, senior economist at PURA told journalists the company owes commulative amount of 69.1 million dalasis on licenses for the year 2020/2021.

“In light of the suspension notice served to Comium, PURA does not want to expose Comium’s subscribers to significant losses in the event Comium does not adhere to the terms of the suspension notice. Therefore, all Comium subscribers are advised to secure an alternative service provider pending the final determination of this matter,” Pura said.

Comium has also been ordered to inform all its subscribers of the suspension notice served to them.
