An angry mob of demonstrators have set the Sanyang police station ablaze as violent protest rage over the killing of a homeowner by unknown assailants.

The angry protesters have placed Sanyang in a lockdown as they clashed with some fishermen working at the Nessie fishmeal factory. 

A resident believed the assailants are Senegalese fishermen working at the factory that has faced accusations of causing environment pollution.

Police are yet to make a comment on the situation.
