Brikama United’s men’s volleyball team delivered a commanding performance to defeat defending champions YMCA in straight sets—25–21, 25–19, 25–17 securing the 2025 Gambia Volleyball Federation Male Curtain Raiser title.

Brikama United’s new signing Laity Nyabally was instrumental in the victory, alongside standout contributions from Ensa Kanyi and Ebrima Sanneh.

Despite a strong showing from 2024 Indoor Volleyball MVP Mario Dampha, the YMCA couldn’t overcome Brikama’s dominance.

In the women’s category, the Gambia Police Force continued their dominance by overcoming the Gambia Armed Forces 3–1 to claim the Female Super Cup. The Police team secured the first two sets, and GAF rallied to take the third, but Police sealed the victory in the fourth set.

This win marks their fourth consecutive Super Cup triumph under the guidance of Coach Marie Wadda.

As champions, both Brikama United and Gambia Police Force received a giant trophy and a cash prize of D10,000, while the runners-up, YMCA and GAF, took home D7,000 each.

These victories highlight the growing prowess of Brikama United in men’s volleyball and the sustained excellence of the Gambia Police Force in the women’s game.
