Cameroon coach Toni Conceição says Gambia will face a tough challenge on Saturday when they play his side in the Afcon quarterfinal match.
He said his team will not underestimate Gambia but he is confident of a win.
”I am not suprised about The Gambia team, we have studied them very well. We will not underestimate them, it’s a solid defensive team and must be given respect,” Conceição GamFoot Transfers in Douala.
“For me Gambia have not played against a dangerous attacking team like us. We will prove that Saturday. I have spoken to people around me also our president Samuel Eto and We shared positive ideas to win.”
The Portuguese is looking to lead the Indomitable Lions, who last lifted the trophy in 2017, to their sixth continental crown.
Conceição added: “We know what have to be done on Saturday. Our players are used to this pressure. The Gambia have a Good team but we are going for the trophy and they are in our way.”
He admits the weight of public pressure is on him as his side hosts debutant Gambia, adding that the local fans “don’t forgive failure”.
