Brikama Police are investigating a fatal road traffic accident that occurred in Bafuloto village around 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

The incident involved a motor vehicle and two pedestrians—a woman and a child. Both victims were immediately rushed to Brikama District Hospital, where the child was pronounced dead.

The woman is currently receiving treatment for a fracture.

Police say an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

They have urged motorists to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations, especially in residential areas.
