The Gambia senior football team coach Jonathan McKinstry is expected to invite promising young Gambian players in his World Cup Qualifying squad just two days after signing a two-year contract with the country’s sports ministry.

Both Adama Bojang and Adama Sidideh reportedly received their debut call-ups. Musa Juwara, Sheikh Sibi and Mahmudu Bajo are set to make a return to the team.

Meanwhile, Assan Ceesay, Ablie Jallow, Jacob Mendy, Ibou Touray, and Saidou Khan are all doubts due to injuries. 

Sainey Sanyang and Gibril Sillah are considerable invitees too. 

The 38-year-old Irish man said his desire is to build on the success and progress already achieved by the country’s national football team.
