The Scorpions will officially host Somalia in The Gambia in their opening match of the 2027 PAMOJA AFCON qualifiers on Friday, 25th September 2026 at the Independence Stadium, Bakau

This will mark the Scorpions’ first competitive home match since March 2021, when Assan Ceesay’s goal secured a historic 1–0 victory over Angola and sealed Gambia’s first-ever AFCON qualification.

After years of playing our home matches abroad, The Gambia is finally welcoming the Scorpions back home.
