A coronavirus positive patient who was in quarantine at the Medical Research Institution centre has absconded, the Ministry of Health has announced.

The abscondee is said to be among 32 people held in isolation at the centre.

It comes as the country registered new 95 cases bringing the total number of cases in the country to 529.

“While 48 high-risk contacts were traced and isolated, daily follow-ups began for 39 low-risk contacts traced. Whereas 11 persons were newly taken into quarantine, 20 were discharged,” the Ministry of Health said on Friday.
