Customs and drug enforcement officers have intercepted six packets of cannabis at the Banjul International Airport.
The cannabis package, which was intercepted at the cargo section, is said to have originated from the United States of America.
However, the trafficker of the illegal drugs is not known and there has been no arrest.
“Our National Drug Law Enforcement officers
stationed at the Banjul International Airport alongside customs officers intercepted a package containing six big packets of cannabis ruderalis (skunk) at the Airport cargo section,” DLEAG spokesman Ousman Saidybah told Gambiana.
