Demba Sabally has come under a scathing attack from Yankuba Darboe as a political war of words intensifies.
Darboe lashed out while responding to Sabally’s earlier criticism about his actions during the political crisis under former president Yahya Jammeh.
“Demba Sabally, the clown, who believes he had a PhD from the streets…” Darboe said in a blunt response.

He went further, linking the argument to President Adama Barrow, claiming the narrative about who fled the country during the crisis was being misrepresented.
“…if cowardice is measured by fleeing from Jammeh, then his boss, Adama Barrow, leads the pack. He first hid under the table and later fled to Senegal,” Darboe added.

The remarks come after Sabally accused Darboe of leaving the country at a critical time, questioning his credibility to speak on sacrifice and leadership.
The exchange has quickly escalated into a personal and political clash, reflecting rising tensions among key figures ahead of the country’s electoral cycle.
