Two African holding French passports have been arrested with suspected drugs at Amdalai-Giboro border by the officials of the Drug Law Enforcement Agency (DLEAG).

“Operatives stationed at Amdalai and Giboro border posts took into custody three persons suspected to be engaged in the dealing and trafficking of illicit drugs. One of the suspects was arrested at Giboro border post while the other two were nabbed at Amdalai border entry point,” DLEAG said.

The suspected included a Senegalese national Alhadji Malick Ball, 47, holding a French passport (PC 20CE01733) and a Moroccan national El-Fourari Karim, 41, with French passport number IT0514712 and French national identity card number Z5EFB21V4.

Meanwhile, a Gambian national Lamin Sonko, 38, who was traveling from Guinea Bissau to The Gambia was also arrested at Giboro border post with 12 wraps of suspected cocaine on the 20th of March 2024.

“The suspects were taken into custody while further investigations into their respective matters,” the statement added.
