Dr Ismaila Ceesay, the Minister of Information, has launched a scathing attack on opposition political parties, vowing that the ruling alliance is fully committed to preventing what he called a “visionless” opposition from unseating President Adama Barrow in the 2026 elections.

Dr Ceesay made the remarks shortly after a major meeting between President Barrow and allied political parties supporting his bid for a third term in office.

“We know that the current opposition doesn’t have what it takes to govern this country. They don’t have good intentions for the nation. We will do everything in our power to stop them from forming a government, that’s clear,” he said.

“We have the knowledge, and I don’t see any reason why this alliance should fail. We are going to do everything we can to prevent those who lack the vision and ability to govern from being elected into office,” he added.
