Essa Faal, leader of the Turnaround Movement, has called on citizens to rally behind his campaign in the upcoming presidential election, pledging to end the high cost of living and eradicate endemic corruption in The Gambia.
The globally renowned lawyer, who previously contested in the 2021 presidential election but lost to President Adama Barrow, is now redoubling his efforts to bring transformative change.
His movement recently formed an alliance with the opposition All People’s Party, with a joint congress scheduled for next week.
In a pre-congress statement, Essa Faal emphasised the need for collective action to address the pressing issues facing the country under President Barrow’s administration.
“This rally is a call to action for every single one of us. It’s time to demand the change we deserve—lower living costs, an end to endemic corruption, affordable healthcare, better education, and a fair economy,” he said.
Faal stressed that the success of these goals hinges on the active participation of Gambians.
“None of this can happen without you,” he said, urging citizens to contribute their energy, voices, and commitment to making a real difference.
