Essa Faal, the of leader Sobeya-APP, has fired back at presidential adviser Momodou Sabally and information minister Dr Ismaila Ceesay, describing them as “educated hustlers” unworthy of his response.

Lawyer Faal has recently found himself in the centre of controversy since launching criticism on the Barrow government, which he accused of endemic corruption and bad governance.

However, the internationally acclaimed lawyer-turned politician’s remarks has drawn a strong backlash from Barrow’s supporters including Dr Ismaila Ceesay and Momodou Sabally, who dismissed his criticisms and launched counter-attacks against him.

In response, Lawyer Essa Faal issued a fresh criticism directed at the pair without mentioning their names. 

 “I see what they are writing about me, some of them disrespecting and labelling me with names. But if you have no integrity and can lie about anything without regret; I have no response for those people.

“Someone who has no relevance in Gambian society, I have no response for that person. A man who claims to be highly educated, yet still you can’t even make a job for yourself, is a desperate person,” he said.
