Fajikunda Bajokongo residents have been left in shock after their imam was found dead, hanging at a construction site. 

The deceased body has been taken to the community health centre for autopsy examination.

Circumstances around his death is yet to be known, but there is suspicion that it could be a suicide.

A resident who wants to remain unnamed described the deceased as “a humble man” who lived amicably with residents in peace.

“This is strange here. He was a humble man. The boys who were playing football are the ones who saw him hanging when their football strayed into the uncompleted building. 

“And they ran to report the matter to us. So, his dead body has been taken to the hospital by the police,” the man told Gambiana.

Police could not be reached for immediate comments.
