A migrant camp home to hundreds of African migrants in Spanish town, Palos de la Frontera, has been destroyed after a fire ripped through hundreds of shacks.
However, the cause of the fire has not been established, but no casualty was reported.
Ebrima Drammeh, Italy-based Gambian pro-migrant activist, said: “the migrant camp at Palos de la Frontera, in the southern Spanish region of Huelva, belonging [sic] to the Gambian and sub-Sahara migrants was ravaged by a fire. About 100 shacks were destroyed.”
Drammeh added: “But no one, suffering from burns to the arm, had to be admitted to hospital. The camp was home to hundreds of undocumented migrant workers who were picking fruits and vegetables in the region.”
