Yahya Jammeh has unleashed a furious tirade at a woman he claims is too close to one of his former associates, Yaya Tamba.

The ex-Gambian president, now in exile in Equatorial Guinea, released the explosive audio, which appears driven by jealousy and lingering obsession with power.

In the latest recording, he accused an unnamed woman of secretly being involved with a man from his expelled executive team.

“I told you to fucking stop that because I knew you wouldn’t,” Jammeh raged. “At meetings, you sit next to Yaya Tamba. And at celebrations, you two are always the ones cutting the cake, and putting it in his mouth!”

He continued: “I don’t know what kind of husband you have. A real man would tell you: do that again and I’ll break your jaws. I told her, if it were me, I’d break your jaws into pieces!”

The woman, widely suspected to be Amie Colley, National Assembly member for Foni Berefet and former loyalist who defected to the ruling NPP party, has not been named publicly.

The tirade paints a portrait of Jammeh’s continued obsession with control and power, showing the former president still wields fear and fury, even from afar.

Jammeh, who seized power in a 1994 coup, was ousted in the 2016 election after a bitter dispute over the results.

His refusal to step down plunged the country into chaos, forcing thousands of Gambians to flee to Senegal and prompting intervention by West African forces. Since then, Jammeh has lived in self-imposed exile, occasionally threatening to return.
