The wanted soldier is a member of the State Guard.
Major Sanyang told reporters: “The news about the arrest of a State Guard soldier who opened fire in the air at the Kalagi police station is something true.
“He was arrested immediately he reported to work at State House. And I can confirm it to you that he is now being taken to Fajara barracks where he will be detained for investigations.”
He added: “The investigations will be a joint one together with the drug law enforcement agency to ascertain the allegations of him having connection with cannabis prompting him to open fire at the drug law enforcers at the Kalagi police station.
