The Gambia Armed Forces and the Senegalese Armed Forces carried out a joint border patrol exercise, reaffirming their commitment to regional security and cross-border cooperation.
The two-day operation aimed to bolster border security and enhance collaboration between the two militaries. As part of the exercise, security personnel engaged with local community leaders, including ward councillors, chiefs, and youth representatives, to listen to the concerns of residents in the border areas.

The joint operation concluded with a VIP Day, where dignitaries and senior military officials reviewed the outcomes of the patrol. Officials praised the achievements of the exercise while also acknowledging areas that require further improvement. The event provided a platform for evaluating progress and strengthening future coordination.
This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of both The Gambia and Senegal to maintaining peace, safety, and stability in their shared border regions through joint action and mutual cooperation.
