Soldiers from the Gambia Armed Forces have been sent to Kerr Pateh village to fight with armed robbers, the army said on Monday.

The army said the deployment to Kerr Pateh was made “at the request of civil authority, following a spate of armed robberies in the community in the North Bank region.”

Kerr Pateh is the Gambia’s largest village that bordered Senegal. It is also a village that has been experiencing spate of bandits’ activities.
