Gambia U-20 coach has said his team is ready for Uruguay in the U-20 World Cup round 16 clash on June 1 in Argentina.

Coach Abdoulie Bojang said the team is being prepared to tactically edge their opponents when they meet on Thursday.

Bojang expressed delight with his team’s impressive performance at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

“Looking at the team like I said we were the underdog but we end up topping the table. The team put a respectable performance, scoring goals and defending goals,” Coach Bojang told reporters.

“This is always what we are thinking of as I said we take it game by game. We will do the analysis again of our opponents and try to know where their strengths and weaknesses are,” he added.

The Young Scorpions go to the knockout stage with confidence as Group F leader after two wins and a draw.

The team beat favourite France and Honduras, and drew with South Korea in their last group match.
