The Gambia have been drawn in Group C with Senegal, Cameroon and Guinea for  the 2023 African Cup of Nations. 

The Scorpions are making their second appearance in the elite African football tournament Ivory Coast.

The team made an impressive AFCON debut last year exiting in the quarterfinals after a defeat to Cameroon. 

The Final Draw for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023 was conducted today.

The group stage were drawn as follows:
Group A: Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea ,Guinea Bissau

Group B: Egypt ,Ghana, Cape Verde, Mozambique.

Group C: Senegal ,Cameroon, Guinea, The Gambia.

Group D: Algeria, Burkina Faso,Mauritania, Angola.

Group E: Tunisia, Mali ,South Africa, Namibia.

Group F: Morocco, Democratic Republic of Congo ,Zambia, Tanzania.
