The Gambia are looking to bounce back from defeat and turbo charge their AFCON campaign on Friday. 

The Scorpions will face Guinea in their second Group C match and must win to stand any chance of qualifying for the knockout stages of the tournament.

Gambia is bottom of the group after their 3-0 thrashing by defending champions Senegal on Monday. 

Scorpions captain Omar Colley told reporters that the team will regain its momentum when they face Guinea. 

He said: “We need to be focus for the next game which is most important now, and put behind our last game.”

The team missed out key players for their AFCON opener against Senegal due to suspension and illness.   

Star players like Abdoulie Jallow who is known as Germano and Ebrima Colley missed out for picking double yellow cards while Yusupha Bobb suffered malaria.

However, all the players resumed training as they look forward to securing victory against Guinea who drew their opening match against Cameroon.

Meanwhile, Ebou Adams who picked a red card in their match against Senegal didn’t train with the team.
