The Ministry of Health has announced the fourth coronavirus related death in the country and also reported that 15 people have tested positive for the virus.

“15 new cases registered – the highest reported in a single day – bringing to 93 the total number of COVID-19 cases ever confirmed in the country.

“Of these, whereas 6 are nosocomial COVID-19 cases from the 6&7 Ward of the EFSTH, 1 is an orderly from the same ward,” the Health ministry said.

“The new cases also included a deceased case, bringing to 4 the total number

of COVID-19 related deaths registered – a crude case fatality rate of 4.3″.

The recent spike in cases have sparked fears that the country could be on the verge of becoming another epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic.

The country’s airspace remained open despite public outcry for its closure.
