All 27 players and staff of the Gambia football team have been given the all clear after testing negative for Covid-19.

The mandatory prematch Covid test was done today at the team’s Best Western Plus Hotel in the Cameroonian capital Douala. 

This means that team Gambia have a full team for Saturday’s epic quarterfinal match host nation Cameroon at the Stade de Japoma.

Gambia the surprise team in the tournament will be the underdog as they seek to make history. 

It will be the biggest match in Gambian football history and one that will be watch by billions of people in the African continent and beyond.
