A senior Gambian Police officer ACP Essa Jagne has passed away.  

He died of an unknown illness at the Fajikunda health centre where he was receiving treatment.

“The Gambia Police Force (GPF) deeply regrets to announce the passing of ACP Essa Jagne, an esteemed and active member of the GPF, posted at the Brusubi Police Division.

“ACP Jagne passed away at the Faji Kunda Health Centre. His dedication and service to the Force and the nation will be profoundly missed. The burial will take place at Sinchu Alagie Central Mosque immediately after Friday prayers,” the Gambia Police Force said.
