The Gambia Police Force has arrested several suspects in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged cattle rustling in parts of the West Coast Region.

The arrests were made on Saturday, 22 August, following investigations into reported cases of cattle theft.

Police said the investigation has generated further leads as officers work to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged offences and identify any other individuals who may be involved.

Officers are also working to trace and recover suspected stolen livestock and gather evidence for possible legal action.

The Gambia Police Force said it remains committed to tackling cattle rustling and other forms of crime through intelligence-led operations aimed at protecting communities and property.

The public, particularly livestock owners and community members, has been urged to remain vigilant and report suspected cattle theft or suspicious activities to the nearest police station.
