The Gambia Police chief, Abdoulie Sanyang, today travelled to the Police Intervention Unit’s Headquarters to comfort his men and women over the brutal killing of two of their colleague officers.

Speaking to his men and women in uniform, he extended condolences to friends and colleagues of the fallen heroes and expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident and the loss suffered by The Gambia Police Force.

Sanyang reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring a safe and conducive working environment for officers and encouraged their unwavering dedication to serving the Gambian people.

He emphasised that the police force will spare no effort in providing officers with the necessary resources to carry out their duties effectively.

He made it clear that the internal security, peace, and stability of The Gambia will never be compromised.
