Health officials have recorded 145 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths in the last five days.

The rise in coronavirus cases in The Gambia has sparked concerns of a possible third wave. 

The total number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in the country is now 6328.

Health officials also confirmed that two patients absconded from the Covid-19 treatment centers.

Eight Covid-19 patients are currently on oxygen therapy. 

Meanwhile 43,557 have received the first and second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
