The Gambia’s Ministry of Health has announced another new case of Covid-19 coronavirus bringing the country’s coronavirus cases to 11.

However, the country currently has only two active cases.

The new Covid-19 patient is said to be a Senegalese national.

Speaking during a media update on Wednesday, Dr Abdoulie Bittaye, said “The newly confirmed case who is a Senegalese national was in quarantine on account of recent travel history to Senegal.”

The country is in a 45 days nationwide lockdown to curb spread of the coronavirus.
