The Gambia has again registered two new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total Covid-19 cases to 13. But the country has only 3 active cases.

The new patients are said to be a 27-year-old woman from Bakau with no travel history and her child. They both tested positive for the coronavirus.

Dr Mustapha Bittaye of the Ministry of Heath urged the the public to avoid public gatherings and exercise social distancing.

The country is in a 45 days nationwide lockdown to curb spread of the coronavirus.
